Lydia Jaworski joined Trade Travel in mid 2011.  She has had a diverse career, having always worked in small business. Her career has varied from graphic design in the printing industry to office management in wholesale travel. Her various stints as a waitress over the years (earning extra money to travel) lead to a particular focus on the importance of customer service. This was refined when she owned and managed her own café for five years.
 
Lydia’s passion is travel. This began in mid 1980 when her first travel experience was three months in Europe. Following that a couple of years later, a trip to Egypt and Kenya was the beginning of an insatiable appetite to experience new destinations and cultures. She has travelled extensively with some of her favourite and most memorable destinations and experiences being Alaska and the Yukon, Okavango Delta in Botswana, heli hiking in the Canadian Rockies BC, a balloon ride over the Loire Valley in France, sleeping in Berber tents in the desert in Morocco, Umbria Italy, champagne in hand leaving Istanbul at sunset on a Windstar cruise, a helicopter flight over and walking on the Fox Glacier NZ and the wonderful food and people of Cambodia. Her love of animals makes Africa her favourite continent and why she volunteers for Zoo Youth at the Adelaide Zoo, to encourage young people to appreciate the diversity of animals in our world.

Lydia’s appetite for travel eventually led her to train and work as a travel consultant in Adelaide and later a move to Sydney where she worked in the specialised field of cruising. She has experienced many forms of cruising from the meticulous service orientated big ships of Holland America Line, the exclusive boutique 4-mast yachts of Windstar Cruises, the unique Delta Queen Paddle Steamers that travel the Mississippi River and the small ships of the Alaska’s inside passage. With these experiences grew a passion for cruising and all that it can offer the discerning traveller.

Lydia has a particular interest is groups for solo travellers knowing first hand how hard it is for a solo traveller to find just the right group that will suit their style of travel and choice of destination. Lydia offers a personalised and friendly service at a one on one meeting over coffee or will give a presentation to clubs with a special interest tour or destination in mind.
